We loved the train! They served coca tea and a meal consisting of simple sandwiches and a pastry, and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. The train tracks follow the Urubamba River all the way there, and Mr. Y was kind enough to give me the window seat so I could take pictures and video.

Day 5: A River Runs Through it
Early Saturday morning the driver arranged by the hotel picked us up and drove us to the train station at Ollantaytambo. This was our starting point for the train ride to Aguas Calientes and our first day at Machu Picchu.
