I am so ready for some relaxing times with Mr. Y!
Work has been fairly uneventful this week, but it seems like everywhere I go there are debates, discussions, propaganda and right out hostility regarding the impending presidential election. It's exhausting! Don't get me wrong, I have opinions, too, but I would prefer to hear discussions of platforms over personal lives. And lately I've pretty much decided that I don't much want to discuss anything at all--I've reached my limit. After all, I'm not campaigning so all I have to do now is wait it out a couple more months then go to the polls.
It shouldn't be that hard to do, considering I have a business conference and two week-long training sessions between now and November, and I might try to squeeze in an article or two in between.
In the meantime, however, it's time to get back to living, because the world doesn't stop turning just because Bush will soon be out of office (in fact, I'm sure the world will cheer when Bush is finally out of office, no matter who replaces him)!
This weekend is the annual Mountain View Art & Wine Festival! It's one of my favorites in part because of its size (one of the bigger festivals in the area) and in part because of its setting (gorgeous downtown Mountain View). Last year we had the most delicious crepes (one savory, one sweet), and this year the food should be equally great.
I will also be on the lookout for Dezine 9 so I can finally acquire one of those gorgeous hand-painted evening bags! =)
