Back home again

Friday morning I woke early and went to the office for an hour to take care of a few administrative tasks. Then I took a few pictures as I walked back to the hotel to get my luggage and catch a cab to the airport.

A few pics from our NY office:
The only thing they have more of around Grand Centra Station than taxi cabs...
is police cars! I counted 16 of NY's finest surrounding Grand Central Station as I was walking back to the hotel. Such a show of force definitely makes a tourist feel more secure.
So I thanked them for their efforts, and took a picture with one of them.

The ride to the airport is a whole story in and of itself, but I don't want to end this entry (and, thus, my NY trip) on a bad note so I'm going to skip all that and just say that I ultimately arrived at JFK airport in one piece. =)

While waiting for my plane, I talked to my friend Foodie and told her about my trip and the restaurants I had tried. She was envious, b/c Mr. Foodie had never been willing to go to NY and she had always wanted to go. So now we're planning a girls' trip to NY for hopefully sometime next year.

There are so many restaurants we want to visit, and maybe we'll see a show. But the best part about a girls' trip to NY will be the ability to play tourist the entire time and actually get to walk around during daylight hours!

But, for now, I'm back at home sweet SFO.
