Wine Tasting or Labor Day BBQ?

I've been planning to host a series of wine tasting parties for some time now. We've just needed time to plan everything out perfectly--one tasting event each month, so far as follows:

1. Que Syrah, Shiraz
2. P.S., We Love You
3. Several Deadly Zins
4. Come to the Cabernet
5. Franc-ly My Dear
6. Vineyard Varieties
7. Drawing a Blanc
8. Just Desserts

But Mr. Y wants to have a BBQ for Labor Day due to our extraordinary view of a fabulous fireworks display. Perhaps we could start the wine tastings in October, or hold off until January and see if we can have a whole year of wine tasting parties in 2009...hmmm...
